The partial serpent humanoid creatures known as yuan-ti Originals are remains of the era of Generically Engineered gladiator fighting, before the Fall of the Egg. The name is derived from the ancient mystical ascent to heaven “100 Marches Ladder” translated to their modern language as Yuan (100 marches) and Ti (ladder). Alternatively, the legend says that their name comes from the original king title of times immemorial.
