The Underground Apple of Scrying 5e is an ancient artifact of the dwarven Clan of Behemoth Seekers, a relic from the distant past of their culture. It is also called The White Apple.
It is a curious tool, crafted from a strange, glowing white stone that seems to glow from within. This light is focused on its red “eye” when it is used as a focus for the spell Scrying 5e. It appears to be an apple, but it is actually a smooth, polished stone, intricately adorned with strange symbols and runes.
Power #1
When used as a focus for the spell, the Underground Apple of Scrying allows a Dwarf to peer for longer than the Scrying spell allows. It doubles the duration if the user has at least 50% dwarven ancestry.
It is said that when used correctly, the Underground Apple can reveal secrets and messages from the gods. The dwarves believe that the Underground Apple was a cursed gift from the Grey Dragon, and it is treated as a punishment to be endured.
Power #2
If the Underground Apple of Scrying is used by a Wizard of the school of Divination for the spell Scrying 5e, it acts as if you have a “Body part, lock of hair, bit of nail, or the like”.
The 2 powers it has can be combined only if it is used by a Dwarf Wizard of the school of Divination. It is a powerful tool, and many dwarves believe that it can be used to see the unknown and gain wisdom.
However, the White Apple of Scrying is not without its dangers. It is said that misusing it can lead to madness and confusion, and it has been known to drive some dwarves to the brink of insanity. It is also said that it can also bring forth dark spirits and darker visions, and should be used with caution.
It can be used as a general spellcasting focus for any arcane magic user, but the 2 powers manifest only when used as a focus for the spell of Scrying 5e.

The White Apple of Scrying has the following properties:
- When attuned to a Wizard of the school of Divination, a Diviner, it acts as if it is a “Body part, lock of hair, bit of nail, or the like” of the target of the Scrying spell.
- When attuned to a Dwarfven wizard (Diviner or not), it doubles the duration of the Scrying 5e spell (to be considered “Dwarven”, the user has to be at least 50% of dwarven ancestry). Maximum 20 minutes.
- This can be used as a Spellcasting Focus by any spellcaster.
It is said that when used correctly, the White Apple can reveal secrets, visions of the future, and messages from the gods.
