Feudal Contract of Subservience
This Feudal Subservience Contract (the “Contract”) is entered into between the Khan of Barbi (hereinafter referred to as the “Khanate”) and the group of individuals collectively known as the “Freemen,” who have been granted the title of Freemen and a parcel of land located in South Barbi, within the jurisdiction of the Khanate of Barbi. The terms and conditions of this Contract are as follows:
- Land Usage: The Khanate grants the Freemen the right to use and hold the designated parcel of land in South Barbi for agricultural, residential, mineral extracting, crafting and commercial purposes. The Freemen shall utilize the land in a responsible and productive manner, ensuring its optimal productivity.
- Production Obligation: In exchange for the rights and privileges granted herein, the Freemen shall provide the Khanate with a certain amount of products, as determined and agreed upon by both parties. The specific type and quantity of products to be delivered shall be mutually decided and recorded in a separate agreement, attached hereto as Schedule A.
- Standing Militia: The Freemen shall establish and maintain a standing militia for the protection and defense of the land and the Khanate of Barbi. The militia shall be composed of able-bodied individuals and shall undergo training as required by the Khanate.
The Freemen shall ensure the readiness and effectiveness of the militia to safeguard the interests of the Khanate and maintain peace and order within the assigned territory. In times of was half of the militia is placed under the command of the Khanate. - Termination: This Contract may be terminated by either party under the following conditions:
- Non-Delivery of Products: If the Freemen fail to deliver the agreed-upon products to the Khanate for a continuous period of two (2) year2, the Khanate reserves the right to terminate this Contract.
- Backlog of Deliverables: If there is a backlog of deliverables, exceeding the agreed-upon period of three (3) years, the Khanate may terminate this Contract at its discretion.
- Mutual Agreement: This Contract may be terminated by mutual agreement between the Khanate and the Freemen, with written consent from both parties.
- Governing Law: This Contract shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Khanate of Barbi. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Contract shall be resolved through amicable negotiations between the parties. In the event of failure to reach a resolution, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Khanate of Barbi in Ergani.
- Entire Agreement: This Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior understandings or agreements, whether written or verbal, relating to the subject matter herein.
By signing below, the Khanate of Barbi and the Freemen acknowledge that they have read and understood the terms and conditions of this Feudal Subservience Contract and agree to be bound by its provisions.

Schedule A – List of Deliverables
The following is a list of agricultural products that the Freemen may choose from for their production obligation as specified in Section 2 of the Feudal Subservience Contract:

- Plant Produce (e.g., grains, vegetables, fruits)
- Livestock (e.g., cattle, sheep, poultry)
- Ships
- Arms
The Freemen shall select the specific product(s) they intend to provide to the Khanate of Barbi, indicating their choice(s) by marking an “X” next to the respective item(s). The quantity and quality of the chosen product(s) will be determined in separate agreements between the Freemen and the Khanate.
Please note that the availability and feasibility of producing certain items may depend on factors such as climate, resources, and technological capabilities. The Freemen and the Khanate shall discuss and agree upon the specific terms related to the production and delivery of the chosen product(s) in further detail.

Annual Tributes
The following are indicatory and always subject to relations with the Khan of Barbi and personal relations to the negotiators. Mixing is regular and common.
- Smelted Metal (Ingots, coins or bars) – Full Annual Tribute “enough to make 200 swords” or equivalent like:
- Coal or Zinc 4000lb
- Lead or tin 1000lb
- Steel, Brass or Bronze 100 lb,
- Gold 200gp, (or equivalent in Silver, Copper, Platinum +10% if not minted properly)
- Raw Stone or Clay Bricks – Full Annual Tribute “enough to build 4 homes“.
- Plant Produce (e.g., grains, vegetables, fruits) Full Annual Tribute “enough to feed an army for a week“.
- Rice, wheat, fried fruit, root vegs 2000lb
- Cheese, salt, beans, or wheat/rice flower 800lb
- Garlic, sugar, tea, 200lb
- High herbs, incense, spices 100lb
- Livestock
- 50 Cattle,
- 100 Sheep or goats
- 800 poultry or preferred rodent
- Ships (determined upon delivery)
- Arms 40 new swords or equivalent
Additional costs:
Delivering to the capital: processing fee 10gp
Delivering at a taxman: processing fee 50gp + Transportaion cost 1sp/lb
Insufficient or late delivery: provisional fee +10%
